1. Kathryn Albertson Park
The most popular in Boise- for sure! Kathryn Albertson Park isn’t just another pretty picnic spot; it’s a living, breathing canvas. This is where vibrant wildflowers dance merrily alongside serene ponds, and their reflection is captured effortlessly in the crystal clear water. The latticed bridges and pathways offer a multitude of angles for that picture-perfect shot. The best part? The park morphs through the seasons, so you’ll want to keep coming back to catch it in all its guises! Also- YEAR ROUND, this is a go to. It looks good ALL the time.
2. Military Reserve
For the photographer wanting to capture the untamed spirit of Boise, the Military Reserve is the calling. Trails wend through a classic Western landscape of sagebrush and scrub oak, leading to panoramic views of the city or the rolling foothills.
3. Merrill Park in Eagle
In late summer, Merrill Park in Eagle turns into a golden meadow. It’s one of those few spots where the cityscape marries effortlessly with nature.
