A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at McCallister Gardens in Meridian, ID for our free Mother’s Day portrait event! It was an absolute joy to see so many smiling faces and to capture these beautiful moments of love and togetherness.
Why I Hosted a Mother’s Day Event
As a photographer, I’ve noticed something year after year—moms aren’t in enough photos. They’re often the ones behind the camera, making sure everyone else’s memories are beautifully captured. This Mother’s Day, I wanted to change that. I wanted to give back to our community by offering a special gift to the wonderful moms out there: the chance to step in front of the lens and be celebrated.
The energy at McCallister Gardens was infectious! There’s nothing quite like the sight of kids running around, families laughing together, and moms finally getting some much-deserved spotlight. Each portrait tells a unique story, and I am beyond thrilled to have captured these precious memories for so many families.
Highlights from the Event
The day was filled with magic and joy. Here are a few standout moments:
- Laughs and Smiles: From little ones showing off their toothy grins to moms sharing heartfelt hugs with their children, every snapshot was a testament to the love that binds families together.
- Scenic Beauty: McCallister Gardens’ greenhouse provided the perfect backdrop with its gorgeous windows and vintage sink. We added florals all over the garden bench and it was stunning!
